Krishnakoli - A journey

The film starts with the backdrop of Poushmela in Shantiniketan where a middle aged woman Krishnakali went with her son in vacation to meet her brother who lives in a village in Birbhum where Krishnakali brought up. The story travels through Krishnakali’s memory lane of her brought up days. This film not only tells a story of a dark skinned girl and her challenges due to so called outlook of the society but It also focuses on the fact that how this discrimination in the society, injects the the same outlook in victims' DNA - and it travels generation after generation - unfortunately the journey is still on. Does Krishnakoli finally succumb to the societal pressure? The film unveils it all.
